Colour Wheel Design Reflection



What was the most enjoyable aspect of this assignment and what was the most challenging? 

The most enjoyable part was probably the end of the project and finally being able to see my completed work and the most challenging was coming up with designs. Thinking of 12 separate designs in short amount of time is not all that easy and I really have a new respect for fashion designers.  

How can colour effect the interpretation of an artwork? 

If this was in black and white your eye wouldn't be as drawn to it as it is now. People can also draw symbolism from the shades of colour an artist uses.

Final Reflection

CERAMICS FINAL REFLECTION Photo of final glaze piece Final thought on the best parts of this piece. Project 1 I thought that the best parts of this piece were the inside glazing and the small diamond detail I added to the front. I actually put a lot more care into these parts than any other part of the piece and I think that they ended up turning out better because of that. Project 2 I liked how the details on the body turned out  on this piece. I used slip trailing to get it to look the way that I wanted it to look. With the glazing it pops a little and I’m very proud of it. Project 3 I used the mug for the first time and I got really giddy and excited because, “Oh my god I made this alkshfla.” I really liked how the glazing worked with the carvings I had. Author’s Note Dear Reader, The idea for this may seem a bit strange at first, but I urge you to give it a shot. It’s not as weird as you think. It came to me in the middle of class while I was discussing a different topic in a critique group. So many people at SAS are mixed, part Asian, part something else; I began to think: what if there was a girl just like that in a story?
